Dear Mr. Hones,

PH. (530) 752-0572 FAX (530) 752-8202 Email: chssp@ucdavis.edu Website: chssp.ucdavis.edu

On behalf of the California History-Social Science Project, I write to inform you that your application to present at the Teaching the Past for Tomorrow conference has been accepted! Out of an exceptional pool of proposals, we feel that your presentation will align very well with the goals of the conference and will make an excellent contribution to the profession. As a reminder, the conference will take place November 6-7, 2015 at UCLA Carnesale Commons.

In order to confirm your participation in the conference, please email me affirming your participation no later than June 15, 2015 (bsslutsky@ucdavis.edu). When you write to confirm your presentation, please include a specific panel title as well as a grade-level target group for your panel if there is one. Presenters must also register for the conference; early bird registration ends August 15 (http://chssp.ucdavis.edu/conference). We have reserved a very limited number of hotel rooms near the UCLA campus for conference participants. I have enclosed a summary of those hotels with this letter, along with contact information, so you can make your reservation today. Please note – we will be releasing this list to the public in June, so make your reservations today.

When you register for the conference you will also have the option to purchase tickets to attend the gala dinner in honor of the CHSSP’s 25th anniversary. Gala dinner attendance is optional, but will surely be a terrific evening with a keynote presentation from Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Alan Taylor.

Please also take a look at the special anniversary issue of our teaching magazine, The Source (http://chssp.ucdavis.edu/source-magazine/25th-anniv-source-online-version.pdf). The conference schedule, which will include information about the specific time and place of your session, will be released as the conference date approaches.

Please also feel free to contact me directly if you have questions or concerns, at 530-752-0572 or bsslutsky@ucdavis.edu.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in November! Sincerely,

Beth Slutsky, Ph.D. Enclosure
