Students will

1.     create a project,

2.     work with the teacher to write the grant including requested materials

3.     let potential funders know about their grant

 

Examine examples of successful grants; draft description of class & prepare template for your student leaders.

10 minutes quick write describing students & class/library (individual)

5 minutes share & edit (partner/whole group)

10 Review & use template for Donor's Choose Projects (whole group)

10 minutes Brainstorm variety of grants (individual & whole group)

10 minutes Brainstorm student leadership & writing tips (whole group)

10 minutes Review examples of successful grants (individual/whole group)

5 minutes Reflection & 3-2-1 (individual)
