Writing the Budget Tips
1. Write simple, declarative sentences in the entire grant; most critical in the budget narrative. Be concise. Be direct. This section should be easy to read when describing how project funds will be used.
2. Be specific on items like supplies,  In the budget, tell the program's story. After writing a strong needs statement and program summary, having a concise, easy- to-understand budget and budget narrative is this important part of an application.

Kay is the first library media teacher/librarian in SFUSD who has achieved National Board Certification.

She supports National Board candidates & is part of the district Master teacher program. She works at two continuation schools. She established new libraries at two of the sites in 2014 (one for pregnant minors & their children, one for county/continuation school grades 7-12). She has provided successful professional development opportunities for teachers and librarians in district, state, national, and international conferences.
